PAJE TUWE HUNI KUIN is widely regarded as one of the most respected and traditional spiritual leaders of his generation within the Huni Kuin people.

This autumn, he will travel to Europe for a limited cultural exchange journey, carrying with him the ancestral wisdom, strength, songs, and living traditions of his people from the heart of the Amazon rainforest.

A devoted guardian of Huni Kuin culture, Tuwé dedicates his life to preserving and passing on the traditional language, Hatxa Kuin, as well as the sacred songs, stories, and teachings of his ancestors. He is deeply committed to guiding the younger generations, ensuring that the ancient knowledge of his people continues to flourish for generations to come.

Within his village, Novo Futuro, Tuwé is known as a keeper and encourager of traditional cultural practices, including the sacred Katxanawa celebrations, traditional dances of abundance, ancestral song traditions, and other ceremonies that strengthen the connection between community, nature, and spirit.

Over the years, Tuwé has also accompanied renowned Huni Kuin leader and spiritual teacher Ninawa Pai da Mata on international journeys, helping to share the beauty, wisdom, and cultural richness of the Huni Kuin people with the wider world.

Beyond his role as a cultural ambassador, Tuwé is respected for guiding those who wish to deepen their understanding of traditional indigenous diets and spiritual practices that are carried out within the villages of the Amazon, following the ways of his ancestors.

YAKA HUNI KUIN Yaka is a young artist of the Amazon and a devoted student of the Huni Kuin spiritual tradition.

Raised in the village of Novo Futuro, she grew up immersed in the songs, prayers, stories, and ancestral teachings of her people.

As the daughter of a respected healing Pajé and guardian of traditional knowledge, Yaka has walked a path of learning since childhood.

From an early age, she undertook traditional spiritual diets and dedicated herself to the study of Huni Kuin culture, medicine, and sacred songs.

Today, she shares the strength of her journey through the beauty of her voice and the powerful songs of her ancestors. Her presence carries the living spirit of the forest and the wisdom of a new generation committed to preserving and carrying forward the traditions of her people.

During her first journey to Europe, Yaka will be accompanied by Pajé Tuwé, offering a rare opportunity to experience the Huni Kuin tradition through the voices, prayers, songs, and teachings of two cultural guardians from Novo Futuro.

Together, they create a bridge between worlds, inviting participants into a deeper understanding of Huni Kuin culture, spirituality, and their profound relationship with the Amazon rainforest.
